 LISTEN hEAR
A new book on the work of pioneering Irish sound artist Danny McCarthy has just been published by Farpoint Recordings. The book covers selected works by Mc Carthy covering over a twenty year period. Ranging from early installations like "Echo’s From An Abandoned Schoolhouse" (1988) up to his current work "Listening With The Sound Turned Off" which has just finished in Triskel Arts Centre.
The work covers both indoor and outdoor installations and is illustrated in both colour and black and white.
The book is accompanied by a thirteen track CD and an introduction by David Toop and a text by Julie Forrester.
